Rosselkhoznadzor notes the attempts of import on territory of Russia of Turkish plant products infected with quarantine for the countries of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) objects, is spoken in the message of Department.

It is noted that on 10 may, the Rosselkhoznadzor experts jointly with representatives of the Directorate of food and control Ministry of food, agriculture and livestock of Turkey control imported through the sea port of Gelendzhik vegetable products from the Republic. Four days in three cases, prevented the importation into the territory of Russia tomatoes total volume of 70.7 tons, the infected South American tomato moth.

In addition, last week in the Bryansk region, through which imports of Turkish products, 12 batches of tomatoes weighing more than 220 tons and one lot of pepper weighing more than 15 tons from Turkey found out quarantine organisms, reported in the Rosselkhoznadzor. Held in the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate laboratory study found that seven batches of tomatoes weighing more than 130 tons were also infected South American tomato moth. In addition, five batches of tomatoes weighing over 90 tons and one lot of pepper weighing over 15 tons were detected by Western (Californian) flower thrips.

In Rosselkhoznadzor reported that from January 2018 in the areas of responsibility of the office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Bryansk and Smolensk regions in 29 cases in various Turkish plant products identified quarantine organisms. Senders returned more than 440 tons of consignments under quarantine, infected with pests.
