The Turkish authorities officially denied the information about ban import of Russian grain

The Ministry of economy of Turkey on Friday denied information about the ban on the import of agricultural products from Russia

The economy of the country in a written statement said that the trade policy of Turkey "is fully subject to WTO rules" and not trying to impose a ban on none of the suppliers regardless of the product.

We will remind that on March 16 the national Association of exporters of agricultural products (NAESP) asked the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev, to take measures for resumption of agricultural exports to Turkey. According to the NAESP, the Turkish authorities since March 15, stopped issuing licenses for the import of Russian wheat, corn, sunflower meal and vegetable oil. The Association pointed out that Turkey has in fact imposed an embargo on agricultural products from Russia.
