The wheat harvest in Russia in 2017 in net weight was 85.8 million tonnes.

This was reported TASS the press service of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation.

"The wheat harvest in net weight was 85.8 million tonnes," - said in the Ministry.

Harvest in bunker weight made up of 88.1 million tonnes.
 
According to operational data of the agricultural administrative bodies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation on 20 December 2017, winter wheat and spring harvested to 88.1 million MT (in 2016 75.9 million tonnes) at a yield of 32.2 kg/ha (in 2016 - 27.9 t/ha). In the whole country threshed 140,5 mln t of grain (in 2016 is 125.8 million tonnes) at a yield of 30.5 C/ha (in 2016 - 27.4 C/ha).

Earlier, the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation, Alexander Tkachev said that Russia hopes in the 2017-2018 marketing year to regain world leadership in the export of wheat. In the last marketing year, which ended on 30 June 2017, Russia exported a record 35.5 million tonnes of grain, including 27.1 million tonnes of wheat, behind the United States (28.1 million tonnes) of world leadership in the export of wheat, but retaining a place in the top three.
