Traders left no chance to Ukrainian soybean crushers

In the current 2016/17 season, the situation in Ukraine’s soybean sector makes analysts revise their forecasts and estimates again and again. This primarily concerns the soybean crop, whose official forecast was raised to 4.3 MMT.

Seemingly, the bumper soybean crop is to push up this oilseed’s processing, but monthly outputs lag behind last year throughout the first half of MY 2016/17 because of reviving soybean export trade. UkrAgroConsult has already mentioned this fact before. In the seven months of the current season, Ukrainian soybean exports hit an all-time high of more than 2.3 MMT.

According to UkrAgroConsult’s estimates, the farmer interest in soybean cultivation will even somewhat increase in the 2017/18 season, not decline. However soybean yield is unlikely to reach record indicator as last year.
