Turkey imported some 0.5 MMT of sunflower oil during 11 months in 2018


Turkey imported 459.5 KMT of sunflower oil in January-November 2018. As before, the top supplier of this commodity is Russia. 

Sunflower oil deliveries were also made from Ukraine, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Romania and Moldova, reports UkrAgroConsult.

During the period under review, Turkey re-exported 374.5 KMT of refined sunflower oil, mostly to Iraq and Syria.

In addition, Turkey imported 588 KMT of oil-bearing sunflower seed and 75.5 MT of sunflower seed for other purposes (including that for planting) in January-November. The biggest sunflower seed suppliers included Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Ukraine. Small amounts of the commodity came from Russia, too.
