Turkish company to construct a modern milling facility in Ukraine

Turkey’s Alapala Makina, an industrial unit of Alapala Group, is now in talks about supplying equipment for constructing a large milling facility in Ukraine. The project is being implemented in partnership with PJSC Agrarian Fund, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The location of the future plant is still under discussion. Supposedly, this may be Kyiv region, which features very high concentration of bakery facilities.

The new mill’s capacity will supposedly be at 150 MT of grain a day. The amount to be invested is EUR 4.5 Ml.

About 900 mills operate in Ukraine now, but just some 20 of them are large facilities capable of milling over 100 MT of grain a day.

The Agrarian Fund has no own production facilities now. Nevertheless, the company has seized 12% of the domestic flour market and actively develops exports.
