Turkish tomatoes are officially closed Russian market

22 may Russia and Turkey documented assured the removal of restrictions in mutual trade, excluding tomatoes

Vice-premiers of the two countries, Deputy Prime Minister and Mehmet Simsek, may 22, in Istanbul signed a joint statement on mutual lifting of trade restrictions.

The exception, as expected, was a Turkish tomatoes, a ban on the import of which continues to operate. As was stated by President of Russia Vladimir Putin, this is due to the fact that rossie farmers have already invested in the production of domestic vegetables. Now the removal of restrictions on tomatoes from Turkey can be discussed only after you pay off the Russian production.

We will remind, presidents of two States Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan on may 3 agreed on the removal of trade restrictions. The next day Turkey abolished the import duties on Russian products. Russia, for its part, has allowed import of Turkish vegetables and fruit, lifted restrictions on the work of Turkish construction firms, and made it clear that will not prohibit charters in Turkey.
