UkrAgroCom planning to process its oilseed crop at an own plant

UkrAgroCom is considering a plan for the construction of an own oil-extraction plant and will invest in developing river logistics and increasing energy efficiency of its sugar refinery, said UkrAgroCom business director Pavlo Fesyuk.

According to him, UkrAgroCom’s plans include expanding soya planted areas. However, the company management is aware of how difficult it is to grow this crop in view of the spatial location of the company’s land bank.

Reportedly, the company takes on cultivation of niche crops from time to time. In particular, it harvested 4 KMT of high-oleic sunseed last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.
