Ukraine. 90% of winter cereals are in good and fair condition

The conditions for crop growth and development were mainly good and fair between April 20-30. However, high daytime temperatures in late April, both in the air and on the ground surface, the absence of precipitation, low relative air humidity and strong winds reduced productive soil moisture content, especially in the top soil layer.

Winter cereals are mainly in good condition, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Growth of winter cereals continues on an area of 7118 Th ha. 6406 Th ha (90%) of these plantings are in good and fair condition and 712 Th ha (10%) are weak and sparse.

Depending on the planting date, early spring cereals are at the stages of the lower stem node, tillering, three leaves and emergence.

Corn sowing is going on. Germination and emergence are reported in previously seeded areas. Pea plants are developing the 3rd true leaf, though they are still at emergence in late-seeded fields. Plant condition is good.
