Ukraine. A signed appendix to the Memorandum on 2017/18 wheat export volumes

The Appendix 1 to the Memorandum of understanding between Ukraine’s Agriculture and Food Ministry and grain exporters was signed on October 18, reports UkrAgroConsult.

This Appendix sets out an agreed volume of 2017/18 wheat exports from Ukraine at 16.5 MMT (with possible revision of non-food wheat supplies in January 2018). This includes agreed volumes of milling wheat and non-food wheat exports at 10.7 MMT and 5.8 MMT, respectively.

Noteworthy is that the current pace of wheat exports from Ukraine is almost as fast as last year. According to the State Consumer Protection Service, Ukraine already exported over 7 MMT of wheat this season by October 13, including 3.9 MMT of milling wheat and 3.1 MMT of feed wheat. More than 7.6 MMT was exported at the same time last year (roughly 4 MMT of milling wheat plus over 3.6 MMT of feed wheat).
