Ukraine adjusting the range of end markets for its soybean oil exports


Soybean oil exports from Ukraine totaled 11.2 KMT in November 2017 against 12.4 KMT a month ago and 20.2 KMT in November 2016. Overall, exports of this product fell to 32.6 KMT in the first three months of MY 2017/18. This is almost a quarter less than at the same time last season (42.9 KMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

European countries remain the top destination for Ukrainian soybean oil exports this season. They increased purchases by 16.6% and absorb 58% of total supplies. In addition, China boosted imports of Ukrainian soybean oil more than 3.5 times and expanded its export share to 34%. Ukraine continues trade cooperation with countries opened last season: Vietnam and Djibouti. Ukrainian exporters began supplying soybean oil to the Virgin Islands, but stopped deliveries to last season’s key importers India, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
