Ukraine and Russia. Rapeseed harvesting progress is far ahead of last year

UKRAINE. Ukrainian farmers continue harvesting winter rapeseed. As of July 9, winter rapeseed had been harvested from 476 Th ha that represents 48% of its forecast harvest area of 983 Th ha.

The crop amounted to 1103 KMT with an average yield of 2.32 MT/ha compared to last year’s 2.07 MT/ha, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Due to an earlier start of harvesting, its progress is far ahead of last year. So, farmers harvested 176 KMT of rapeseed from 85 Th ha a year ago.

RUSSIA. Russian farmers continue harvesting winter rapeseed. As for July 6, rapeseed had been harvested from 46.7 Th ha (3% of the forecasted area of 1550.7KMT). 79.4 KMT of rapeseed was received with the yield of 1.7 MT/ha.

Last year 27.8 KMT of rapeseed was harvested from 17 Th ha. The yield was 1.64 MT/ha. Thus, rapeseed harvesting progress is far ahead of last year.
