Ukraine. Bearish trend on wheat market continues

Last week, bearish price trends prevailed in Ukrainian wheat market. Export prices for wheat with 11.5% protein closed the week down another USD 1/MT FOB (December-January delivery). Export prices for wheat with 12.5% protein lowered as well. Downward trends in the world market amid strong competition in the region pressured prices the most last week, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Over the reporting period, demand prices for the 2nd-grade wheat decreased by UAH 50/MT. The reduction in domestic demand, including the demand from crushers, as well as some national currency strengthening against the US dollar over the previous two weeks pressured prices the most.
