Ukraine. Construction of an oilseed crushing plant about to start in Donetsk region


The first agro-industrial complex will be launched in the town of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, by the middle of 2018. It will comprise an elevator and an oilseed crushing plant, said Mayor Ruslan Trebushkin.

“We have large farms growing a lot of produce, but they sell it as raw materials. Therefore, an elevator for grain and sunseed is being constructed in the town. It is projected that the volume of stored raw materials will expand from 12-20 KMT to 40-60 KMT within two or three years. Also, the region’s first oilseed crushing plant will be built in Pokrovsk, and it will be possible to sell its vegoils all around the world,” R. Trebushkin pointed out.

The complex will be erected within the framework of an investment project. It is planned to complete general construction works within a few months. The plant may start operating as soon as this summer, before the harvest time, reports UkrAgroConsult.
