Ukraine. Construction of grain handling complex begins at Chop station


"PACOBO" on basis of its logistics center "Eksporttransbud", located at Chop station of Lviv Railway, started construction of grain handling complex with an annual shipping capacity of 1 MMT.

The construction of this complex in Western Ukraine was launched with an aim of improving logistics of grain deliveries for exports to countries of Central Europe, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The beginning of project implementation is scheduled for June 2018. Three silos with a capacity of 2150 MT each will be installed at the elevator complex, with a total storage capacity of 6450 MT.

The enterprise intends to handle grain cargoes from rail cars of 1520 mm gage (at least 23 rail cars) to rail cars of 1435 mm gage (at least 24 rail cars) or vice versa, as well as from rail to road or back, with a temporary storage for any of the variants.
