Ukraine. Corn harvest started almost over the country

As of September 20, the corn harvest had already started almost all over the country. Corn was harvested from 203 Th ha by the reporting date (4% of the plant) against 445 Th ha at the same time in 2016. Its crop amounted to 936 KMT (2062 KMT) with an average yield of 4.61 MT/ha (4.63 MT/ha), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Harvesting of buckwheat and millet continues as well. As of September 20, growers harvested 135 KMT of buckwheat from 117 Th ha (64% of the plan) with an average yield of 1.15 MT/ha. At the same time last year, they got 159 KMT from 125 Th ha with a yield of 1.27 MT/ha. As of the reporting date, 66 KMT of millet was harvested from 45 Th ha (79%) with an average yield of 1.46 MT/ha against 172 KMT, 94 Th ha and 1.83 MT/ha, respectively, in 2016.
