Ukraine. Delta Wilmar starting to implement projects for the expansion of crushing and handling capacities


Investors from Singapore and the USA will build two oil extraction plants, a grain terminal and handling facilities in Odessa region’s Lyman district, planning to invest some USD 300 Ml in these projects. Odessa Regional Administration Head Maksym Stepanov, “Delta Wilmar CIS” Director Andrey Romantsov and the US company Grain Agro Invest’s Director Sergey Tormos signed a trilateral memorandum on the above subject, the Odessa Regional State Administration reports.

According to the agreements between the administration and the investors, the implementation of two investment projects, each valued at USD 150 Ml, will begin in 2017.

In particular, Singapore’s Delta Wilmar will construct a new plant with a total annual capacity of over 600 KMT and a vegoil and meal handling berth with an annual capacity of up to 3 MMT.

Grain Agro Invest, a company with American investment, will build a grain storage and handling facility and an oil extraction plant.

As a reminder, Delta Wilmar previously announced a plan to build a soybean processing plant in Yuzhny port (Odessa region) in the coming years. USD 150 Ml will be invested in the project, reports UkrAgroConsult.
