Ukraine. Despite record exports, grain stocks are 16% up year-on-year


According to current information of the State Statistics Service, Ukraine’s reserves of grains and pulses totaled 12.08 MMT as of May 1, 2017 that is 16% more than at the same time last year (10.43 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat stocks decreased 22% to 3.87 MMT against 4.95 MMT reported as of May 1, 2016. Corn stocks are 56% up from last year, amounting to 6.51 MMT (4.18 MMT).

Barley inventories are 19% up from last year, amounting to 1.01 MMT (0.85 MMT).
