Ukraine diversifying end markets for high oleic sunoil


As a result of a global surge in consumers’ interest in high oleic sunoil, in 2016/17 season Ukraine exported two and a half times as much as last season.

The revival of high oleic sunoil sales in the 2016/17 season produced an effect on the overall pattern of sunoil exports. So, the high oleic share in them grew to 3.1% against 1.6% registered a year earlier, UkrAgroConsult notes.

It should be pointed out that importers’ interest in refined high oleic sunoil has increased this season. Apart from a rise in purchases by traditional buyers of Ukrainian high oleic sunoil, the range of its export destinations was considerably expanded.
