Ukraine exported over 2.6 MMT of sunflower oil


Second month in a row Ukraine decreases exports of sunflower oil, though the volume exported in February and since the beginning of 2016/17 remain at record high level, UkrAgroConsult notes.

In February 2017 Ukraine exported 442 KMT of sunflower oil, which was 4.7% less than over the previous month, but 12.5% higher than over the same month of 2016. Since the start of 2016/17 MY (September-February) exports reached 2680 KMT and are now 22% ahead of last season`s exports by the same date .

Active trade widely expanded export geography of Ukrainian sunflower oil in 2016/17 MY. India, European countries and China remain among the leading importers. Moreover, this season the following countries added to the list for the first time – Venezuela, Mexico, Guyana, Gambia, Fiji, Barbados, Indonesia and others.

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
