For the first time after the launch of a new oil terminal, sea specialized port “Nika-Tera" accepted and sent for exports the first tanker for loading bulk liquid cargo. In total, 30.1 KMT of sunflower oil were successfully loaded onto the ship, which was then sent to the Middle East, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The preparation of the terminal for handling vegoils lasted for nearly six months.

The investment project, implemented in 2017 to launch bulk liquid handling complex at capacities of LLC “SSP Nika-Tera”, allows handling up to 500 KMT of cargo per year. The terminal is capable of unloading up to 80 trucks per day (up to 2900 MT) and accepting 40 railway tanks (up to 2600 MT) simultaneously. Capacities of tanks for one-time storage of bulk cargo are 33 KMT. The port’s near-term plans include expanding its storage capacity for liquid bulk cargoes to 63 KMT.
