Ukraine. Flour and bran production continues to fall

Ukrainian flour production continued to fall in 2017, though at a slower pace. 1775.4 KMT of flour was produced in the country for the eleven months, or 1% less than at the same time in 2016. This included a 0.5% drop in output of wheat flour and wheat-rye flour (1687.6 KMT). Production of flour from other cereals totaled some 84.8 KMT at the time, or down 12.6% year-on-year.

Pulse flour production increased to 2.33 KMT in 2017 that is up 33.8% from January-November 2016.

In view of the decline in flour production, the country consequently witnesses lowering output of wheat bran and bakery goods. So, wheat bran production decreased 4.1% in 2017, to 572.2 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.
