The ports of Chornomorsk, Yuzhnyi, Nikolaev and Odessa remained the four leading grain handling ports. Nikolaev port showed the greatest growth trend, increasing transshipment by 24.9% in the first quarter, compared to the same period last year.

Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning the port, which deserved special attention. Olvia seaport increased grain handling from 364 KMT in the first quarter of 2016 to 990 KMT over the same period this year. The decision of the port authorities to focus on this type of cargo caused such a result.
