Ukrainian farmers continue harvesting winter rapeseed. According to the Ag Ministry of Ukraine, this work had advanced into Poltava, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi and Khmelnytsky regions by the beginning of July. Rapeseed yield in Ukraine exceeded last year’s, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As of July 3, winter rapeseed had been harvested from 208.7 Th ha that represents 21% of its forecast harvest area of 983 Th ha. The crop amounted to 411.8 KMT with an average yield of 1.97 MT/ha – up 1% from last year’s 1.95 MT/ha.

Due to an earlier start of harvesting, its progress is far ahead of last year. So, farmers harvested 16 KMT of rapeseed from 8 Th ha a year ago.
