Ukraine harvested 40% of sunflower

Ukrainian farmers continue to harvest sunflower, reports UkrAgroConsult. By September 19, 2362.2 Th ha or 40% of the intended area had been threshed (5905 Th ha), which was 8% lower than by the same date last year (2183 Th ha). 4963.1 KMT of sunseed had been obtained with average yield 2.1 MT/ha. Last year by the same date 4374 KMT had been harvested with average yield – 2 MT / ha.

By the reporting date soybean had been threshed at 609.7 Th ha, which was 33% of the forecasted 1846.3 Th ha and 1284.3 KMT had been obtained with average yield - 2.11 MT/ha. Harvesting pace is slower than last year, but average yield is better. Thus, by the same date last year soybean had been threshed at 686 Th ha, 1184 KMT obtained with average yield - 1.73 MT/ha.
