Ukraine. Harvesting of early cereals drawing to an end

In Ukraine, early cereals and pulses were harvested from 9653 Th ha (100%) by August 28, 2017. Farmers gathered 37284 KMT with an average yield of 3.86 MT/ha against 37970 KMT with an average yield of 3.94 MT/ha as of August 28, 2016, reports UkrAgroConsult.

These included 26608 KMT of wheat harvested from 6367 Th ha (100%) with an average yield of 4.18 MT/ha against 6162 Th ha and 4.28 MT/ha last year. Barley was harvested from 2511 Th ha (100%) against 2876 Th ha at the same time in 2016. Its crop amounted to 8614 KMT with an average yield of 3.43 MT/ha (9770 KMT with a yield of 3.40 MT/ha last year).

Rye was harvested from 166 Th ha (99%) with a crop of 471 KMT and an average yield of 2.83 MT/ha. By the same date last year, 373 KMT was gathered from 143 Th ha with an average yield of 2.61 MT/ha. At the same time, growers harvested oats from 195 Th ha (98%) with a crop of 487 KMT and an average yield of 2.50 MT/ha. The pea harvest is over in Ukraine. As of August 28, farmers got 1095 KMT of peas from 410 Th ha with an average yield of 2.67 MT/ha.
