Ukraine has extended a ban on the import of Russian goods


The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting on 18 December extended the ban on import of some goods from the Russian Federation.

In particular, the adopted amendments to the decree of December 30, 2015 No. 1147, according to which the ban on the import of goods from Russia has been extended until 31 December 2019 inclusive.

Note from 2016, under the sanctions were meat and meat products, fish, dairy products, processed cheese, coffee, tea, grain, confectionery, baby food, pasta, beer, alcohol, vodka, cigarettes. Last year, the list of prohibited items also includes ammonium sulfate; mixtures of ammonium nitrate with calcium carbonate or other inorganic substances which are not fertilizers; polyethylene with a specific gravity of 0,94 or more.

It is assumed that the extension of the ban will contribute to the economic opposition of the Russian Federation.
