Ukraine increased flour exports by 23%


Ukraine exported 41.3 KMT of flour in October 2017, or almost 28% more than in the same month last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Ukrainian flour exports were up 23% year-on-year in the first four months of the current season, at 157.1 KMT against 127.2 KMT in July-October 2016/17.

China remains the largest end market for Ukrainian flour and continues expanding its purchases. Ukraine shipped some 45.5 KMT of flour to China in the period under review, or 47% more than at the same time last season.

Also, Ukrainian exporters continue stepping up flour deliveries to the markets of Angola, UAE and Somali.

UkrAgroConsult expects further growth of flour exports from Ukraine this season. As a reminder, Ukraine exported roughly 407 KMT of flour in MY 2017/18.
