Ukraine increased grain production by 10%

According to preliminary information of the State Statistics Service, Ukraine harvested a total 65.95 MMT of grain in 2016, up 9.7% from 2015 (60.13 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

This included growth in corn output by almost 20% to 27.96 MMT, while the harvest of barley rose by 13.8% to 9.43 MMT, buckwheat by 37.7% to 176.4 KMT, rice by 3.7% to 64.8 KMT, oats by 2.1% to 499 KMT and rye by 0.1% to 391.5 KMT.

On the contrary, wheat production somewhat decreased, by 1.9% to 26.03 MMT, while millet output is down 11% at 189.7 KMT.
