Ukraine increased soybean oil production by 27%


Overall soybean oil output in September-May 2017/18 in Ukraine remained at a record 156.7 KMT, up 26.8% year-over-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Despite a slowdown in the last two months, soybean crushing in Ukraine is still at a high level.

So, the country’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 18.1 KMT of soybean oil in May 2018 that is down 8.6% from the previous month (19.8 KMT) but up 27.5% from May 2017 (14.2 KMT). May 2018 saw a record monthly volume of soybean oil production.

According to UkrAgroConsult estimates, Ukrainian soybean oil production in the 2017/18 season will total at least 170 KMT, i.e. it will hit a new all-time high.
