First stage of Cargill and MV Cargo terminal in Yuzhny put into operation

In early June, the first complex of grain terminal of the global commodity trader Cargill and MV Cargo in the seaport “Yuzhny” was opened. Presumably, the grain terminal will be operating at full capacity in autumn 2018, reports UkrAgroConsult.

MV Cargo is building a grain terminal Cargill in the port “Yuzhny”. The capacity of one-time grain storage will reach 290 KMT. The complex will be equipped with 14 storage bins (15 KMT each) and a storage warehouse for 80 KMT of grain. The terminal is equipped with its own railway and automobile infrastructure. The truck unloading station is capable to accept 790 trucks per day, while the station for unloading hoppers - 256 rail cars per day.

Delta Wilmar to resume investment project in Yuzhny

The State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA) and “Delta Wilmar CIS” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of implementation of an investment project with the aim of increasing cargo traffic volumes at “Yuzhny” seaport. On the part of investor, the memorandum provides for construction of soybean crushing plant with the capacity of up to 2 KMT per day, a terminal for accumulation and one-time storage of 40 KMT of grain and meal, as well as a new berth (#37-a) with a throughput capacity of up to 3 MMT per year for handling liquid (liquid vegetable oils) and bulk cargoes (grain, meal) in the water area of “Yuzhny” seaport.

For its part, USPA undertakes to issue to the investor all technical conditions necessary for implementing the investment project. In particular, design documentation for the construction of a new berth (#37-a), as well as to amend the development plan of Yuzhny seaport by including the information on the project implementation. In addition, USPA undertakes to create a new operational 15m depth water area at the future berth #37-a.
