Ukraine. January margarine production up 20.6% on the year


Margarine production usually shows a seasonal decline in the first month of the calendar year. So, Ukraine’s large and medium-sized plants produced 20.5 KMT of margarine in January 2018. This is a four-year high, up 20.6% from January 2017 (17.0 KMT), though 11.6% less than in December 2017 (23.2 KMT). The current year witnesses further growth of statistics, which started in 2017 for the first time since 2010, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a reminder, margarine output hit a three-year high of 226.4 KMT in 2017.
