Ukraine. January-May vegoil exports totaled $1.91 Bl, State Fiscal Service


In January-May 2018, Ukraine exported 2.541 MMT of vegoils to an amount of $1.917 Bl. This is stated in customs statistics published by the State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In particular, exports of sunflower, safflower and cotton oils totaled 2.434 MMT, worth $1.835 Bl. In monetary terms, the top destination markets included India, which purchased $909.111 Ml worth of these commodities (a 49.5% export share), Iraq – $116.827 Ml worth (6.4%), and the Netherlands – $110.595 Ml worth (6%). Exports to other countries totaled $698.556 Ml (38.1%). This commodity position accounted for 9.4% of overall exports in monetary terms.

Soybean oil exports totaled 98.310 KMT to an amount of $73.79 Ml, while those of rapeseed and mustard oils were at 1.731 KMT worth $1.386 Ml.

Ukraine imported 91.349 KMT of vegoils (worth $77.566 Ml) in January-May 2018. In particular, palm oil imports totaled 83.962 KMT to an amount of $63.409 Ml, with imports of coconut and palm kernel oils at 5.356 KMT (worth $8.546 Ml).

458 KMT of vegoils to an amount of $351 Ml were exported in May. Importers purchased 18.05 KMT of vegoils, to an amount of $15.54 Ml.

According to the SFS, 6.018 MMT of vegoils were exported in 2017, to an amount of $4.507 Bl. Vegoil imports totaled 225.38 KMT, worth $194.441 Ml.
