01.03.2017

Lithuanian Stevedoring Company KLASCO (Klaipeda Stevedoring Company) is a potential participant in the competition for concession of the State enterprise "Kherson trading seaport", reports UkrAgroConsult.

KLASCO is the biggest stevedoring operator of Klaipeda port, which handles more than 13 MMT of cargos annually and occupies about 40% of the port services market. The company operates five terminals, in particular - for handling general cargos, bulk fertilizers, liquid fertilizers, grain and Ro-Ro cargos. In 2015 cargo turnover of the stevedore reached 12.2 MMT. The company is a part of Lithuanian concern Achemos Grupe.

Kherson seaport and the stevedoring company "Olvia" (earlier - Port Oktyabrsk) are among the state-owned enterprises, which should take part in the implementation of a pilot project of public-private partnership (concession).
