Ukraine. Logistics of agricultural cargoes in January-February 2018

According to the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority", in January-February 2018, grain handling for exports in seaports of the country increased 1.8%, compared to the same period last year – to 3.1 MMT.

It should be noted that in January 2018 grain exports decreased by 5.8% compared to 3.3 MMT in December 2017. Traditionally, in January export shipments decline due to the New Year celebrations and business activity reduction.

Handling of vegetable oils in country's seaports in January-February decreased 11.9%, compared to the same period last year – to 420 KMT against 479 MMT last year. The transshipment of vegetable oils, as well as grain handling is influenced by the seasonal factor of trading activity reduction, reports UkrAgroConsult.
