Grain handling for exports lag behind the last year's pace

According to SE "Ukrainian Sea Port Authority", in January-April 2018, grain handling for exports in seaports of the country decreased 6.5%, compared to the same period last year to 12.9 MMT.

In April 2018, grain exports reached a little more than 3 MMT, which appeared to be the minimum volume for this month in recent seasons. Traditionally, seasonal decline in shipments of agricultural commodities begins in April and peaks in June, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Vegetable oils handling set new records in April

According to SE "Ukrainian Sea Port Authority", in January-April 2018, handling of vegetable oils in seaports of the country decreased 5.7% to 1.9 MMT, compared to 2 MMT last year. In April 2018, export shipments of vegetable oils reached 518 KMT, which appeared to be the record high for recent years, UkrAgroConsult notes.
