Ukraine. M.V.Cargo begins construction of berth in Yuzhny port

For the first time in 8 years, construction of a new berth has begun in the port of Yuzhny. The company "M.V. Cargo" began piling works for construction of berth #25, which will ensure operation of the grain terminal Cargill, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The length of the new berth will be 385 m, while the depth – 16 m. To provide such depth, "M.V. Cargo" has already carried out dredging works at 620 thousand cubic meters of soil to create a pit for the hydraulic construction of the berth. To finish the works, another 100 thousand cubes should be scooped out. The berth will be able to receive Postpanamax-type vessels for grain loading.

The terminal should begin its work in spring 2018. More than USD 30 million has been already invested in the construction.
