Ukraine. Margarine market continues to recover


Following a seasonal decline in margarine production early this calendar year, it grew in March. So, Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 22.1 KMT of margarine that month, i.e. 17.1% more than in the previous month (18.9 KMT) and up 11.2% from March 2017 (19.9 KMT).

The current year sees continued recovery in margarine production, which was achieved last year for the first time since 2012, reports UkrAgroConsult. So, margarine output amounted to 61.5 KMT in January-March 2018 that is up 12.5% from the same time last year (54.7 KMT).

UkrAgroConsult expects overall margarine output may reach 240 KMT in 2018.
