Ukraine. Margarine market on the rise this year

Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 19.6 KMT of margarine in September 2017 that is up 41% from the previous month (13.9 KMT) and up 8.3% from September 2016 (18.1 KMT). September’s margarine output hit a three-year high. Overall margarine production in 2017 (January-September) is up almost 26% year-on-year at 144.4 KMT (114.8 KMT was in 2016).

As expected, the fat-and-oil sector continues showing better performance this year than in the previous two ones. This confirms stabilization and recovery of the Ukrainian margarine market. Noteworthy is that the rise in production happened for the first time since 2010, reports UkrAgroConsult.
