Ukraine may increase agricultural exports to Turkey

Ukrainian growers are now able to supply more agricultural produce to Turkey, the Ag Ministry reports. This became possible owing to some decisions of the Turkish government to increase the relevant quotas and cut import duties, reports UkrAgroConsult.

These decisions provide for zero-duty imports of animal products within a tariff quota. The import duties on some agricultural products were decreased in line with other decision.

So, the import duties for live cattle and cattle carcasses were reduced to 26% and 40%, respectively. In addition, lower import duties (35-45%) were set for some types of wheat and barley delivered from the European Union and other countries. The duty on wheat imports was slashed from 130% to 25%.
