Ukraine. New grain terminal to be built in Nikolayev port

According to USPA, the development plan of Nikolayev port for 5–25 years, approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure in July 2018, provides implementation of the project “Construction of a universal transshipment complex (UTC) for grain, general or bulk cargo in the rear of berth #8”, reports UkrAgroConsult.
This project is a private investment project of LLC “Avesta Trans”, which will be implemented at the expense of the company's own and attracted private funds. UTC is projected for handling, storage and bulk shipments (grain, oilseeds and their derived products) or general or bulk cargo, as well as their combination. Transport and technological lines of the complex are projected for planned annual handling volume of about 2 MMT. The estimated construction cost of the complex is approximately USD 0.9-1 billion.
