Ukraine. Omelian suggests transferring all major ports to concession
23.08.2017
The Minister of Infrastructure Vladimir Omelian expressed an opinion that Ukrainian ports should be privatized, as private owners could provide better conditions for their development. In addition, he emphasized on a risk of corruption schemes in state organizations, as there are always interested people in this, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Omelian also considers it necessary to transfer to concession the largest ports and sell others, because they are already taken out of state ownership through various lease patterns. "13 seaports of Ukraine should be transferred to concession, as the largest, and the rest should be sold", he summed up.
