Ukraine. Over 13 MMT of sunseed harvested


Ukrainian farmers are completing sunseed harvesting, reports UkrAgroConsult. By November 14 they harvested 5816 Th ha, or 98% of the intended area (5916.2 Th ha). That was 16% more than by the same time last season (4992 Th ha). Farmers obtained 13159 KMT of sunseed with an average yield of 2.26 MT/ha, which is an all-time high for Ukraine. In 2015 farmers gathered 11027 KMT of sunseed with an average yield of 2.20 MT/ha.

Soybeans have been harvested from 1732 Th ha, which is 94% of the intended 1837.1 Th ha. Farmers got 3959 KMT of soybeans with an average yield of 2.29 MT/ha against 3722 KMT with an average yield of 1.77 MT/ha in 2015.
