Ukraine. Rapeseed crushing in December dropped to at a four-year low

In December 2017, monthly rape oil production by Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers dropped to a four-year low of 0.108 KMT. Nonetheless, the overall H1 2017/18 result is up 28.7% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

So, rape oil production amounted to 79.3 KMT in July-December 2017/18 against 61.6 KMT a year ago. The reason was active processing of rapeseed in the first months of the season.

UkrAgroConsult expects this trend to persist until the end of MY 2017/18 and bring up the season’s total output to at least 80 KMT (66.7 KMT of rape oil was produced in MY 2016/17).
