Ukraine. Rapeseed crushing season is almost over

Rape oil production totaled 0.971 KMT in January 2018, i.e. increased substantially against December 2017. Nonetheless, this was still one of the smallest monthly volumes since the beginning of the season.

At the same time, rape oil output in the first seven months of the current 2017/18 season is up 25% year-on-year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

So, 80.22 KMT of rape oil was produced in July-January 2017/18 against 66.6 KMT a year ago. The gain resulted from intensive rapeseed crushing in August-September 2017.

UkrAgroConsult expects crushers to make at least 82 KMT of rape oil in MY 2017/18. This would be higher than 66.7 KMT produced in the 2016/17 season.
