Ukraine. Rapeseed exporters deprived crushers of raw material

In the current season (2016/17) strong rapeseed demand from European countries due to a poor harvest has provoked a substantial decline in rapeseed crushing in Ukraine, Julia Garkavenko, chief oilseeds market expert of UkrAgroConsult notes.

According to UkrAgroConsult calculations, Ukrainian fat-and-oil companies processed about 200 KMT of rapeseed in July-November against 300 KMT at the same time last season.

Another 30-50 KMT will be crushed in the remaining months of the season. As a result, at most 250 KMT will be processed for the full season.
