Ukraine. Rapeseed exports exceed crushing
08.02.2017
Large and medium-sized crushers of Ukraine produced 2.5 KMT of rapeseed oil in December 2016 against 2 KMT in November 2016 and 7.2 KMT in December 2015, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Rapeseed oil production at Ukraine’s large and medium-sized plants has amounted to 61.6 KMT since the beginning of the season 2016/17, or down 52% from a year ago.
UkrAgroConsult notes that apart from this season’s rapeseed crop decline, crushing is strongly pulled down by traders’ interest in export of this oilseed. So, over 800 KMT of rapeseed was supplied to foreign markets in the six months of MY 2016/17 that is more than 90% of the season’s total export potential.
