Ukraine. Rapeseed exports to the EU already up 94% from last season’s total


The February 2018 volume of rapeseed shipments from Ukraine indicates a soon close of the export season for this crop, reports UkrAgroConsult. So, it amounted to just 5.7 KMT against 78.5 KMT in January.

Roughly 2072 KMT was supplied to foreign markets in July-February 2017/18 that is far ahead of the export pace registered in the previous three seasons, though being down 5% from the record 2175.0 KMT shipped abroad in July-February 2013/14.

Export rapeseed sales to the EU continue picking up steam this season. So, 1699.2 KMT was supplied to the European Union in the period under review, i.e. 94% more than in the whole of MY 2016/17. Pakistan, having resumed rapeseed purchases from Ukraine, occupied a 9% share in total exports of this commodity.
