Ukraine. Sowing campaign lags behind the last year’s pace


By October 03 winter crops had been sown at 3616 Th ha, which was 49% of the intended area - 7374 Th ha, reports UkrAgroConsult. This included 3355 Th ha of winter wheat and triticale (54% from the planned 6198 Th ha), 114 Th ha of rye (77% of 147 Th ha), 147 Th ha of barley (14% of 1028 Th ha).

According to UkrAgroConsult, sowing campaign lags behind the last year’s pace. By October 03, 2015 about 3953 Th ha had been sown with winter crops. Moreover, Ukrainian farmers continue grain harvesting.
