Ukraine. Soybean oil production lags over 8% behind last year

Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 14.1 KMT of soybean oil in April 2017, or 9% less than in the previous month (15.5 KMT) and down 5.4% from April 2016 (14.9 KMT).

Total soybean oil output for MY 2016/17 (September-April) amounted to 109.2 KMT against 119.2 KMT a year earlier. The lag behind last year is over 8%. As a reminder, this value reached 25% early in the season.

As UkrAgroConsult expected, the latter half of the season shows crushers’ stable interest in soybeans, which will most likely persist till the season’s end.
